Intensive Course
Our Intensive Spanish course guarantees the utmost in flexibility and personal attention from our teachers. The course consists in 4 daily lessonswhich is the most demanded type of Spanish courses in Spain. They can be initiated on any Monday of the year, year-round, for every level except the lowest (Beginner Intensive Courses start on every first and third Monday of the month).
Class size is always limited to a maximum of 6 students per class. The minimum duration of an Intensive course is one week. A level test is given on the first day of classes to assign you to the right level.
Each course is divided into grammar and conversation lessons. First we make sure students study the basic language skills individually - reading, writing, speaking and listening – and then work to join them all together.

Combined Course (Intensive Course and Individual Lessons)
This course is perfect for students with little time that want to make the most of their stay. It consists of a 15 hour per week Intensive Course plus 4 hours per week in individual lessons.
The individual lessons can focus on particular aspects such as Spanish culture or conversation, and always compliment the Intensive Course. Individual lessons are held before the daily intensive course at a time arranged between the student and the teacher.
This course is designed with each student’s particular needs in mind, and has a minimum duration of two weeks. Courses can begin on any Monday of the month for every level except the lowest (Beginner Combined Courses start on every first and third Monday of the month).

Combined Courses (Spanish & Salsa)
Galfir offers students the opportunity to learn Salsa, an important part of the culture in the Canary Islands, in conjunction with their Spanish course.
The Canary Islands is probably the only destination in Europe where a true Salsa culture can be found due to its close connections with Latin America.
This course consists of 20 hours per week of Spanish plus 4 hours per week of Salsa lessons. The timetable for Salsa lessons is given upon commencement of the course. All Salsa lessons are held in the afternoon.

Combined Course (Spanish & Surf)
We offer this course for all students who would like to combine water sports with a Spanish course. It consists of 20 hours per week in Spanish lessons plus 5 hours per week of surfing classes, held on the weekend.
All necessary material is included for this course, which is open to everyone – from total beginners to students with some surfing experience. The minimum duration of this combined course is 2 weeks. Times for the surfing course are given prior the student’s arrival.

Combined Course (Spanish & Canarian Cuisine)
Tenerife has many valuable things to offer and one of them is its wonderful cuisine; Canarian dishes are famous in many parts of the world. By offering this course we’d like to make it possible for students to take home an important part of our culture, apart from our language.
Canarian cuisine is very simple but full of lovely flavours. Among other traditional Spanish and Canarian dishes, students learn how to make “mojo” and lovely Canarian desserts. This course consists of 20 hours per week in Spanish lessons plus 5 hours per week of cooking classes. The minimum duration for this course is of two weeks.

Individual Lessons
The schedule and content of individual lessons can be determined by the student, with a minimum duration of one 55 minute class per week. This course is ideal for students who wish to optimize their study time.
Our instructors employ a fully personalized teaching method designed to meet the needs and preferences of the student. Students are given the opportunity to learn Spanish within a short period of time through an individualized course of study in grammar, speaking, listening, reading, writing and vocabulary.
It is also possible for students to introduce a particular topic or interest, as long as adequate notice is provided before the class starting date. Students can also combine individual lessons with an Intensive Course. The number of lessons depends on the student’s requirements.

DELE Preparation Course
D.E.L.E (Diploma in Spanish as a Foreign Language) is the most important examination in Spanish for foreign students. It’s possible to take the exam in the city of La Laguna. The exam is divided into Basic, Intermediate and Higher Diploma levels, and Galfir has a program to help students prepare for each of these.
The course consists of 8 lessons per week during the 12 weeks preceding the exam. A 4-week, 20 hour per week Intensive DELE Preparation Course is also available. The DELE exam is held in May and November; for exact dates, students are asked to contact the school.

Spanish for Academic Purposes
This course is for students who want to study at a Spanish university. The course is very advanced and requires a decent level in Spanish. For total beginners who want to study at a Spanish university, Galfir recommends the Combined Course that combines individual lessons with an Intensive Course.

Part-Time Course
This course is recommendable for students wishing to combine holidays with learning. The course has a minimum duration of 3 weeks, is held twice a week (3 hours per day), and begins on the first Monday of each month.
